Description for the dive: Size:3390 register tons Depth: until 50m
Construction: tugboat Distance from the diving: 40-50 minutes Particularity: possibility to enter inside, due to the good visibility already visible after the first meters of descent.
.
Details:
The tugboat was employed as mine finder and mine destroyer, when in October 15th 1944 it was on duty in the Gulf of Cagliari when it clashed on a mine itself. The wreck was
discovered in recent times and for a long period of time was forbidden to dive on because of a mine that was found on a vehicle not far away from the wreck. After the military navy
had eliminated it nothing prevented it’s exploration. With a maximum depth of almost 50m,
it is a dive suitable only for underwater experts, also because it is positioned far away in the open sea. The stern is spectacular, the helm and the propeller are very well recognizable. The wreck is
leaned on the flank. On the deck you can recognize the large winch that served to draw big loads. In big part the wreck is collapsed and covered with yellow anemones. An impressive show with a high variety of colours and fish.
