Particularity: in very good condition, for specialists, possibility to get inside the wreck.
Details:
On April 10th, 1943 the Isonzo was part of a convoy from Cagliari which was travelling in direction of La Maddalena. Accompanied by a few planes and the ships Entella and Loredan, it was attacked and hit by two shots of the English submarine “Safari” and it sank in 15 minutes. The wreck is leaning on the side. The Isonzo is one of our scuba divers' favourite places. Not only for its huge dimensions, but also because it is possible to observe the two cannons on the wreck. On lucky days it is possible to have a close meeting with some big dusky groupers., which have found here their habitat, together with other sea life, like the rare sun fish, who patrols here from time to time. It is a quite easy dive despite the depth.
