Oceanblue-Diving-Center: Dive spots

There is a large selection of diving spots available not yet over dived, since there is no mass tourism here. Thanks to our boats we can bring our divers in position quickly even to the further away spots. We cover the whole “Golfo di Cagliari” and the coast from Cagliari to Villasimius where the natural reserve of the islands Serpentara and Cavoli is situated. In these locations, diving is restricted and only allowed to clubs with a licence which we possess.

At the spots we can reach there are a lot of shallows with a high amount of fish. We also have a lot to offer to wreck divers. There are some wrecks from World War II in very good condition in our area. From the “Entella” at only 14 m deep for divers with less wreck experience, until the Isonzo at a depth of about 40 m. You can discover more about these fantastic dives here.

Now only a small choice of our others dive spots:diese Jesusstatue wurde 2002 zum Dank an das Meer versenkt

Naturally the Mediterranean does not only consist of wrecks:

Secca di Torre delle Stelle: (Marco’s favourite dive spot)
A shallow close to the the diving center.  A gigantic extension of rocks with very small passages and with riches of fish. Octopuses, morays, groupers and packs of barracudas are also at the order of the day.  Thanks to the close marine reserve this diving spots gets more attractive everyday.

Secca di Baccu Mandara:
Our habitual divers call this spot also the “silent shallow”.  The singular huge boulders positioned on the backdrop give this dive spot a particular charm.  On the first seeing a little intimidating, but all the more charming. The marine life seems here only to be composed from groupers, morays, octopuses, crabs and packs of breams.

mhh der schon wiederCosta di Genn`e Mari
Not only for the beginners, but also for all those divers who love the calm is this a special place. The coast is jagged with singular tunnels offered to our sight. It is a paradise particularly for macro fans. You can meet crabs, morays, squid, turkish wrasses, golden goby and a lot of others underwater friends can be encountered here.

Trip to the islands of the marine reserve Cavoli and Serpentara:
A trip to the marine reserve of Villasimius is always an adventure. Due to severe rules restricting access to divers and boats it has become an underwater world of riches comparables to that of the tropic seas. A will variety of species like multicolored gorgonians, packs of striped white breams, cow breams, cicadas these are only some examples.  Besides that the well-known statue of the Madonna is submerged in the calm bay, a protector of all men in the sea, which is celebrated every year with a ceremony. Virgin nature is the slogan here.

Secca di SantCaterinaHey komm mich auch mal besuchen !
A little bit farer away but therefore a very special shallow. Usually we connect this dive spot with a trip to the island, because they are quite close to each other. It is a very big dive spot, and therefore impossible to visit entirely in one dive. Huge rocks creating beautiful partly formed canyons. Baraccudas are almost guaranteed here. Tunas and groupers are also seen from time to time. The dive is often surrounded by a strong current.

Secca di Solanas
This dive spot is often surrounded by a strong current and therefore it is rarely visited. But this characteristic also makes it stimulating. Sea life which usually is rarely met, can be experienced here due to the isolation of the place. Lately, sighting of eagle rays of  large dimensions have been reported there.

merkwürdig geformt dieser Felsen, der auch Geierschnabel genannt wirdPropeller of the Isonzo:
Surrounded by a small landscape of rocks, the gigantic propeller of  the Isonzo is found in upright position on the backdrop. Between the rocks you can see some pinna nobilis shells of large dimensions, unfortunately they now become rare. Dusky groupers, sometimes a sunfish and lots of other species wait here for the divers..und wer ist die schönste im ganzen Meer ?
