Travel here You can reach the island by ferryboat or airplane. To plan the journey by car, has the advantage that starting from two people usually the expenses for the voyage are cheaper and the luggage is not a problem.
Furthermore you will be mobile which should not be let out of consideration. Information about the ferryboats can be found under www.tirrenia.it (lower costs) or www.gnv.it (more luxury). Most of our clients book their crossing from Genoa to Porto Torres. But crossings from Marseille to Porto Torres are also available, for information and booking see www.sncm.fr. The trip lasts about 6-11 hours, but saves the longer way through Italy and therefore through the highway and its fees. It is also possible to reach Cagliari directly by ferry boat, but the trip is another 10 hours longer. There are also a lot of flights to the airport of Cagliari (about 30 km distant from us) or Alghero (about 230 km distant). Meanwhile a lot of low cost companies fly to Cagliari, see our link page. With some of the lowcost airlines you can reach Sardinia from e.g. London/Stansted or Gatwick to Sardinia. Also Hapag Lloyd Express (HLX.com offers this year a connection from Hannover and Köln to Olbia. It is also possible to get a transfer from other airports like Olbia or Alghero to Cagliari, (prices on request). There are also cheap bus connections from Olbia or Alghero to Cagliari. If there are any other interesting offers we will inform you on request. If you need, we will also help you with the transfer from the airport to your accommodation. We can give you exact driving directions or travel instructions |
